Zone Conference in July

President and Sister Mecham
We had a great Zone Conference here in Chuuk last month.  Sorry we've been slow to get out a blog here but our computer has been a little osukosuk lately.  The Zone Leaders put on a very good  conference and a great training.
Zone Leaders Elders Allred and Shakespear,

President and Sister Meacham counseled us very well in choosing our paths wisely.  "Whoso heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock", 3 Nephi 14:24.  They counseled us on opening our mouths and we will have them filled with the words what we shall say, "For it shall be given you in the very hour, yea, in the very moment, what ye shall say".  Live so as the Spirit can abide with us, "Wherefore, be faithful, praying always, having your lamps trimmed and burning, and oil with you, that you may be ready at the coming of the Bridegroom", D&C 33:17

After our lunch break we stretched and roamed around for a bit.  Took a few pictures and generally relaxed.  It was a good break before getting back to work and we took advantage of it.

We heard from Elder Landroe who is the Area Psychiatrist.  He helped us understand the benefits of keeping a positive attitude in the face of difficulty.  Using the Gospel and the Light of the Lord to buoy us up.  We also heard from Dr. Donahoe who gave us the perspective of healthy living and staying in good condition so that we can do the Lords work without becoming sick and debilitated.

The conference and training ended with testimony and remarks by President Meacham who encouraged us to be valiant and excited about bringing the elect into the Church and helping them grow in the Gospel.  All were taught this day in the way of the Lord, filled with the Spirit and the Light.  Our hearts were filled and our countenances shined.
