Mwan "reaping the harvest"
The Mwan Elders have been working and teaching a lot of lessons. This is no easy task for them because they are the Zone Leaders which means they are "in charge" of a lot different things. From making sure the other elders have good health, food and whatever else they might need to stay strong and healthy to do their work here. Here in Chuuk, many things come up, so even if these guys make plans they have to know how to "fly by the seat of their pants" so to speak.
Elder Allred is a planner and we have been ever so grateful for what he has been teaching in the zone. All the Zone Leaders are wonderful elders that bring their strengths to do this special job.
Each missionary whether they get baptisms or not, they plant a seed and sometimes while watering that seed, they have to leave the farm. They get transferred to another farm so they might never get to cultivate what they planted. The wonderful blessings of the gospels is it continues to grow long after the missionaries are gone.
If you feel like you don’t know enough about the gospel to share it with others, take comfort in these promises from the scriptures: “Lift up your voices unto this people; speak the thoughts that I shall put into your hearts, and you shall not be confounded before men;
“For it shall be given you in the very hour, yea, in the very moment, what ye shall say” (D&C 100:5–6).
God will put prepared people in the way of His prepared servants who want to share the gospel. How often it happens, depends on the preparation of your mind and your heart.
This young lady's name is S-miann. These two small boys come from the same family. They are both very busy and full of life. Elder Allred has nicknamed them "thing one and thing two". The great part is when the missionaries would show up to teach them, they would both calm down and listen. They love hearing what the missionaries teach. “The Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26).We believe we can trust in the verse from Romans: “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” We truly believe that if across the world we can all try harder not to separate each other from the “love of Christ,” we will be “more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:32, 35, 37).
