Elder Henry he is doing well. We had the opportunity a few weeks ago to talk to him on the telephone. His English is really good. Their is a return elder that lives here in Cedar and works at the Costa Vida that served with him and knew him. It is so fun to meet people. what a small world. We are all tied together. Chuuk hit hard by Typhoon Maysak
We are so very grateful for the opportunity to help the Micronesian people after Typhoon Maysak that has damaged so many homes and displaced families. We know there are a lot of humanitarian organizations reaching out but we the missionaries and their families that have served in Micronesia are also reaching out and hoping to help the Micronesian people at this desperate time. We're counting on the charity of those who can help them.
Damage is said to be widespread in Chuuk, which has a population of about 50,000 living on dozens of remote islands.
We are also accepting the following donations:
1. Clothing (adult, youth, toddler, infant)
2. Over the counter medicine
3. Flashlights & batteries
4. Canned or non-perishable foods
5. Kitchenware
6. Shoes, Flip flops (adult, youth, toddler)
7. Sanitation and personal hygiene items
8. First aid kit
9. Bandages
10.Water filters
